This role provides an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, results focused individual to shape and deliver exciting projects of work within a National Strategic Clinical Network (NSCN) to support health boards/trust to improve the delivery of key health services across Wales. Within the new NHS Wales Executive, newly configured National Strategic Clinical Networks are a key component of the National Clinical Framework (NCF) model. NSCNs perform the central role of the knowledge-to-practice element in the Learning Health and Care System laid out in the National Clinical Framework. Their position within the Executive enables them to play a role in fulfilling the expectations set out in the Executives Mandate and Remit Letter. Strategic Clinical Networks are an essential national vehicle for joint working between key stakeholders including NHS Wales, Welsh Government and the third sector to improve the outcomes and experience for the population of Wales. Integral to this is the need for continuous improvement and transformational change across a range of our services and approaches and the role of the Strategic Clinical Network is to support this at national, regional, and local levels. As an Assistant Network Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing healthcare outcomes and transforming healthcare delivery. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting the Network Manager in providing leadership and direction within the clinical network support team. Deputising where relevant, this post will enable the Network Team in ensuring the efficient operation and alignment of clinical networks with organisational goals and work plans. The role will oversee the monitoring and reporting against identified key performance indicators, using a variety of data sources. They will lead in stakeholder engagement, and communication strategy, building effective relationships with clinical and managerial colleagues both internal and external to the NHS Wales. Your expertise will be crucial in driving collaborative efforts among healthcare professionals, facilitating data-driven decision-making, and implementing innovative solutions to address healthcare challenges. The post holder will provide programme management skills to the Strategic Network, offering oversight of all activity within the team, in addition to management of individual projects. This will include preparing for and chairing group meetings and responsibility for reporting of progress, including the tracking of outcomes, benefits realisation, and spending for the work programme. The post holder will need to develop good relationships and work closely with a broad range of partners including the National Clinical Leads, Chairs, Welsh Government, Health Board colleagues, patients, third sector and other stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of the work plan.
