£31,231 - £31,465 pro rata / £16.19 - £16.31 per hour (including shift allowance and Distant Islands Allowance)
Applicants are sought for the post of Ferries Pier Worker in Sanday. You must be resident on the Island of Sanday.
The post involves Ferry Services - vessel berthing operations including marshalling passengers and marshalling / inspection of vehicles and their loads before boarding.
The post also requires handling of ships ropes and gangways (as required) during berthing operations.
You will establish good working relationships with all levels of staff and public, whilst providing a professional service.
You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
