Summary
Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design and development of various projects, utilising advanced CAD software to create precise drawings and schematics. Experience with Metalwork would be an advantage. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members to deliver high-quality designs.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed models using CAD software such as Creo & AutoCAD.
- Develop schematics and layouts for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Conduct design reviews and make necessary adjustments based on feedback from stakeholders.
- Prepare documentation for design processes, including specifications, reports, and presentations.
- Maintain an organised library of design files and ensure version control is adhered to.
- Assist in the training of junior designers in CAD software and best practices.
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD & Creo.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and design processes.
- Ability to create accurate schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience working with metalwork.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges that arise during the design process.
