Public Health - Championing Community Well-being

Be part of shaping an approach that tackles the complexities of public health challenges head-on! We have an exciting opportunity to join our Wiltshire’s Public Health Team as a Public Health Specialist.

As a Public Health Specialist, you will address the key drivers of health inequalities by focusing on social, economic, and environmental factors. You'll manage contracts for the Warm and Safe service, secure funding for fuel poverty initiatives, and support government grants like the Household Support Fund. Your work will integrate public health principles into planning, housing, and environmental policies while collaborating across sectors to ensure inclusivity, including military and prisoner populations. You'll also contribute to various health initiatives, including workplace health, alongside other specialists.

We are looking for a forward-thinking Public Health professional who holds a first degree or qualifications of equivalent academic ability with a proven record in leading strategic delivery, commissioning and contract management. It would be an advantage to be registered or working towards registration at practitioner level with UKPHR and/or Masters in Public Health.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing, dynamic public health team, working at a strategic level to drive meaningful change in population health and address health inequalities.
