Plater Fabricator
Job Purpose
To fabricate various parts according to our drawings and specifications.
Main Duties
You will manufacture large and small fabrications to a high standard within specified timeframes, supporting a variety of technical requirements for our customers.
You will be responsible for:
Welding: Weld mild and stainless-steel components (using MIG, TIG, MMA welding processes).
Plating and Fabrication: Using a range of fabrication equipment such as CNC Press Brakes and other fabrication machines to form a variety of conical/cylindrical shape components.
Finishing: Polishing components to meet quality standards.
Flattening/Straightening: Applying heat straightening or flattening rigs to metal plates for component creation for tac and weld.
Machinery Operation: Using CNC Press Brake and other fabrication machines effectively for a range of customer requirements.
Interpret Drawings: Understanding the fabrication process from interpreting engineering drawings and specifications through to completion of customer requirements for a range of mild and stainless-steel components.
Candidate Profile
We are interested to hear from candidates with a variety of backgrounds and ability in sheet metal or metal fabrication however, previous experience in fabricating conical and or cylindrical shape components would be highly desirable.
Competent in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Methodical approach to tasks with a strong attention to quality.
Flexibility to undertake additional tasks in other areas as needed with a high degree of self-motivation.
Ability to work well within a team environment while offering improvement ideas.
