Children's Social Care Lawyer needed in West London Ref 012751
Role Purpose:
- Support the development of HB Public Law with Team Leaders and Service Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise and manage legal files for clients, including local authorities, housing associations, and schools.
- Provide advice, representation, and undertake research related to children’s social care, including public law care proceedings, child protection, adoption, fostering, and public law duties for children in need and looked after children.
- Assist with education matters, including advice on special educational needs.
- Attend meetings and court sessions, which may occur outside of normal office hours and off-site as required.
- Advise officers and members, including in public forums, in a proactive and politically sensitive manner.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to less experienced team members.
- Deputise for senior lawyers as needed.
