This is an exciting opportunity to give strategic clinical leadership to the Neurodevelopmental (ND) Pathway in Salford CAMHS. The service provides autism and ADHD assessment and pre and post assessment support for children and young people with co-occurring mental health conditions. The postholder will work closely with the ND lead in the Community Pathway, representing CAMHS at triage meetings and local strategic and service development meetings. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of assessment of neurodevelopmental conditions, have proven leadership and management skills, extensive supervision experience and will have a keen interest in strategic development and innovative ways of working. Their clinical experience may be from any relevant core profession including clinical psychology, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy or nursing.
Salford CAMHS is part of the MFT CAMHS network and the postholder will work alongside the Strategic Lead for LDA as well as with other assessment team leads in Trafford and Manchester. In line with the Greater Manchester Neurodiversity strategy the postholder will be tasked with delivering needs led support for children and families awaiting assessment. The key areas of the role are as follows: To line manage members of the ND team. To ensure team are well supervised and following appropriate national guidance. To represent CAMHS at ND strategic and development meetings in Salford. To take a lead with aspects of strategic development for the broader ND network in Salford as required. To develop a needs led offer for children and families awaiting assessment in conjunction with partner agencies. To manage a clinical caseload, including complex assessments requiring potential differential or co-morbid diagnoses.
