Summary

Are you commercially minded with experience of managing projects in a visitor-facing environment? Would you like to work at the Science Museum - a truly unique space and one of London's best visitor attractions?

About us

The Commercial Experiences team at the Science Museum Group (SMG) focus on enhancing the customer experience and the group's reputation, with extra income or profit being the natural result of positive, well planned, and managed visitor facing commercial operations. The extra resources generated through commercial projects help to support the Group's finances and ultimately the strategic ambitions of the Group.
To support the work of this team, we're now looking for a Commercial Experiences Project Manager to join us at the Science Museum on a 4-day pw basis for 12 months.

About the role

As Commercial Experiences Project Manager, your primary focus will be to oversee the delivery of new and ongoing projects within the team, working with multiple stakeholders and departments to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard, on time, and within budget, and aligned with SMG policies and procedures, mission and values. Previous commercial projects have included the delivery of the Flying Scotsman VR Experience, the refurbishment of the Science Museum IMAX, and the delivery of Power Up - an interactive gaming gallery.

About you

Joining us, you will bring a commercial mindset and will have an understanding of projects within a visitor-facing environment. You may have experience in retail or in other visitor-facing environments, delivering new projects or opening new spaces. You will bring strong communication and relationship building skills, will be able to oversee projects with multiple moving parts, and ultimately will be able to make things happen.

Don't feel you meet all the criteria? We welcome you to apply even if your experience doesn't match directly. With your transferable skills, you could be the right candidate for this, or other opportunities that we have.
