Crynodeb
We are looking for a Care Assistant to join our team at Avon View.
Avon View is a residential home on the outskirts of Christchurch offering accommodation for 81 clients over 3 floors providing nursing, palliative, residential and dementia care. We work in a person-centred way providing support for people living with complex care needs.
As a Care Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting clients with personal care, nutrition and hydration.
- Complying with Health and Safety requirements in respect of moving and assisting and the use of equipment.
- Maintaining dignity, privacy and respect for our clients.
- The ability to work flexibly across shifts including days, evenings and alternate weekends.
The successful candidate should have:
- The ability to follow care plans and instructions.
- Good communication skills.
- Empathy with the needs of the clients.
- IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- NVQ Level 2 in Direct Care or willingness to achieve this.
36 hours per week.
