About the role

Runnymede Borough Council is recruiting a Senior Communications Officer. Our Communications team is three people including this role so your input will be crucial and valued. You’ll work across social media, intranet management, newsletters, campaigns, press releases, video production and more. Working quickly and accurately, changing priorities and being a genuine team player and contributor are vital.

In return you’ll receive support and training to fine tune your skills, develop knowledge of the sector and use the platforms we operate every day, as well as to develop confidence and people management ability.

About you

The role would suit someone who:

Enjoys working at the centre of an organisation and is confident giving advice, thinking on their feet and making recommendations, as well as providing and receiving constructive feedback.
Likes a fast-paced environment, is adaptable and interested in both internal and external communications.
Is experienced in Meta Business Suite, SharePoint, Teams and LinkedIn.
Can handle a wide and varied workload and operates at consistent high standards.
Thinks creatively about how to tell stories and writes or creates content across multiple channels.
