Summary
Case Management
The Case Management department is the delivery function of the LAA and our staff ensure that each year 600,000 new clients are able to access the justice they require, and that their providers are fairly remunerated for the delivery of the legal aid.
Facilities Management Team
The Facilities Management (FM) team comprises of 3 staff members – the Facilities Manager and two support staff. The team is warehouse based, and work alongside the Records Management team.
Job Summary
Provide technical support to staff and be the liaison point with our IT systems provider. Work closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure the provision of a safe, secure and clean working environment for the 400+ MOJ staff members who use the office. The role is office-based role due to the nature of the work with limited scope to work from home.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining a register of equipment/assets assigned to users
Administering changes to user accounts
Maintain printers and replenish stock
Maintaining tech hub lite service* in ST and resolution of basic IT issues
Provide cover for the Facilities Manager
Provide direction where needed to contractors on site including escorting visitors and contractors where necessary
Carry out staff and contractor inductions
Maintain ST Facilities mailbox, responding to any incoming queries and referring on to Facilities Manager or Site Lead where necessary
Raising jobs through GPA helpdesk, chasing and escalating where necessary and maintaining in-house records
Weekly walkarounds of site and identifying any H&S risks, and escalating where appropriate
Maintain business continuity system
Cover Incident Control officer duties including managing evacuations and follow-up activity
Create a compliant and positive health and safety culture
Assist with the reporting and investigation of all accidents and incidents occurring within South Tyneside office
Liaise with the National Health and Safety team and Information Assurance team where necessary
You will be subject to National Security Vetting security clearance check (this will be conducted by the business for the successful candidate, if not already held)
