Key Responsibilities
Design and prepare diverse South Asian and Arabic dishes, including Mandi, biryanis, Al Faham, grilled chicken, shawarma, curries, snacks, and other regional specialties. Ensure all dishes meet the highest standards of quality, authenticity, and presentation, using fresh and premium ingredients. Focus on the aesthetic appeal of dishes, ensuring consistency and creativity. Oversee kitchen inventory to maintain an efficient stock of ingredients, spices, and fresh produce, minimizing waste and costs. Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to junior chefs and personnel. Occasionally interact with guests to share insights about the cuisine and enhance their dining experience. Introduce new dishes that fuse South Asian and Arabic flavors, incorporating modern techniques while maintaining authenticity.
Skills:
• Expertise in traditional and contemporary South Asian and Arabic cuisines.
• Deep knowledge of spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques specific to both regions.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to modern culinary trends while preserving authenticity.
• Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a chef specializing in South Asian and Arabic cuisines.
• Culinary school degree or equivalent hands-on experience (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene practices in the kitchen.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Experience:
• Extensive experience in creating, preparing, and presenting South Asian and Arabic dishes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage kitchen operations in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience in inventory management and cost optimization.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
