We are delighted to be advertising a specialist clinical/counsellingpsychology post to progress and develop the psychology offer across all WCDS diagnostic and intervention pathways. We are looking for a dynamic clinical/counsellingpsychologist who has good insight and working knowledge of SEND and values multidisciplinary working. The post holder will work as partof aprogressive psychology team whooperatewithin a larger multidisciplinary Child Development Service that provides assessment and intervention for children with neurodevelopmental differences. A primary focus for WCDS psychology has been to develop the social communication assessment pathway, including thepreand post-diagnostic support.The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working with children who have neurodevelopmental differences, however, applicants who are enthusiastic about gaining experience of working in this speciality and who have a good knowledge of child development are encouraged to apply. TheWCDSPsychology team value working in creative and thoughtful ways and there is oftenscopeto develop projects in response to the needs of service users as well as the special interests of the professionals.

The post holder will receive support and supervision froma seniorPsychologist. There are also significant opportunities to engage in peer supervision with colleagues in other trusts (e.g.CNWL) as well as collaborationwithCDS / CAMHS child psychologists across the KCW patch.
