Crynodeb

The Role:

We are representing a well-established Yorkshire law firm who are seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join their growing team.

Their successful Clinical Negligence Department is both Legal500 and Chambers accredited.

You will be responsible for handling a varied caseload of claimant clinical negligence claims, including but not limited to:

- Medical negligence: Claims arising from medical treatment, surgery, and
diagnosis.
- Dental negligence: Claims relating to dental treatment and procedures.
- Childbirth injuries: Claims relating to birth injuries and neonatal care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Providing expert legal advice and representation to clients.
- Conducting thorough investigations and gathering evidence.
- Drafting and issuing legal documents, including pre-action protocols, letters of
claim, and court pleadings.
- Negotiating settlements with defendants.
- Preparing cases for trial and representing clients in court.
- Maintaining client relationships and providing regular updates.
- Meeting deadlines and adhering to professional standards.
- Business development activities, such as networking and client relationship
management.


Essential Skills & Experience:

- Experience in claimant Clinical Negligence.
- Proven track record of success in handling the full range of claimant clinical
negligence claims.
- Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in case management systems.
