Manja Direct Limited, a thriving UK online fashion brand dedicated to providing stylish and affordable clothing, is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Controller to join our growing team. This role is crucial in maintaining our high standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.
About You:
• Proven experience in quality control within a manufacturing or retail environment, preferably within the textile or garment industry.
• A strong understanding of quality control procedures and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying defects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Practical skills in using measuring tools and quality control equipment.
• Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
What You'll Do:
• Inspecting and testing materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This includes checking for defects in fabric, stitching, sizing, and overall garment construction.
• Recording inspection data and preparing reports to document quality control findings. This involves maintaining accurate records of inspections, identifying trends in defects, and reporting findings to relevant departments.
• Identifying and isolating defective products for rework or disposal. This includes segregating faulty items, documenting the reasons for rejection, and ensuring proper handling of defective goods.
• Monitoring production processes to identify potential quality issues and recommend corrective actions. This involves observing manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and suggesting changes to prevent defects.
• Working with production staff to resolve quality problems and implement improvements. This includes collaborating with production teams to address quality concerns, providing feedback on quality issues, and working together to implement solutions.
• Ensuring compliance with quality control procedures and standards. This includes adhering to company quality control guidelines, following industry best practices, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Specific tasks within Manja Direct may include:
• Inspecting incoming fabric deliveries for quality and consistency.
• Checking finished garments against size charts and design specifications.
• Identifying and reporting defects such as faulty stitching, misaligned prints, and fabric flaws.
• Working with suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
