Summary
Job Summary:
The Tour Managers role is extremely vital in smooth functioning of the tour in order to achieve maximum customer satisfaction. This position demands a broader street-smart attitude with pleasing personality, ability to entertain and encourage customer involvement. Supreme time management and coordination skills are of prime importance. The candidate should be able to present the government rules, company policies and other regulations to the passengers in a subtle manner. This role assigns complete ownership on passengers' comfort, happiness and positive experience during the entire duration of the tour. Excellent people's management skills are required to undertake this role successfully. The Tour Managers are the face of the organization for the customers.
Duties:
Managing all the verticals of the tour such as Hotels, sightseeing, meals, transfers or travel arrangements smoothly.
Welcoming the tour group, picking them from multiple pickup points and briefing them about the journey.
Assisting passengers in immigration formalities, embarkation and disembarkation of trains, ferries, flights and any other modes of transport.
Exchanging pleasant interactions with the passengers during their tour making them comfortable and confident about the arrangements.
Impart accurate and relevant information to the passengers about the cities, sightseeing or places to visit.
Maximize the cross selling and up selling opportunities presented by the company.
Effectively guide the passengers to fulfil their travel requirements or elevate their experience.
Coordinate with the suppliers and stakeholders, offering the exact details of the passenger requirements.
Utmost focus on service deliverance to gain valuable positive feedback for the company.
Ensuring regular checks of the service quality variables and fine tuning it in coordination with the Operations Team.
Promoting other tours or travel products of the company to the passengers.
Handling any on tour issues or circumstances effectively, that may appear due to changes in plans, weather conditions, loss of passport, illness of passenger, etc.
Ideal Candidate:
Along with experience in the above, the ideal candidate should be a pleasant, outgoing and friendly personality with excellent people management and communication skills.
Should be flexible and open to changes.
Empathy, patience and mental calmness in challenging situations is a primary virtue.
Should possess ability to accept constructive criticism.
Should be able to think rationally, undertake decisions based on logic and reasoning.
Should possess basic computer skills and understanding of Ms. Office Suite.
