Summary
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone with a strong electrotechnical background, with relevant qualifications such as City and Guilds Levels 2 & 3, 2391, 18th Editions etc. Given the high profile sites we operate, you will need to hold relevant right(s)-to- work and you will need to have, or have the ability to attain, SC and/or DV clearance. On the job training will be offered where required, but an understanding of IT and CAFM sytems, and the ability to operate handheld devices is required.
The successful candidate will be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, will be customer-focussed, and will have a good knowledge of Quality, Safety, Health and Environment legislation and expectations.
Candidates should be willing to participate in the on-call rota, and should hold a full and valid UK driving licence.
Main Duties
-Strict adherence to Mitie and our client's processes and procedures; not limited to but including; completion of Company Documentation, Task Instructions, ISO Processes, COSHH Assessments, Risk Assessments and Method Statements on a daily basis or as instructed.
-Carry out PPMs and reactive works as directed by the management team in liaision with the FM Coordination desk.
-Ensure all work is carried out in completed within the required deadline as dictated by KPI measures, the central Helpdesk and the relevant management stream.
-Proactively report any requirement for parts, materials or any issues with your work at the earliest opportunity.
-Support and implement any requirements to ensure all aspects of safety are at, or better, than the needs of current legislation, company policy and best practise guides.
-Ensure that you wear the correct Uniform and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and that it is in good servicable condition.
-The safe removal of Waste in accordance with environmental legislation.
-Ensuring plantrooms and operational areas are clean, clear and tidy.
-Ensuring actions raised during Audits relating to areas of responsibility are acted upon.
-Completion of required documentation as specified in relevant standards and regulations.
-Report any unsafe acts, incident, or conditions immediately.
-Support a safety culture and environment of operational excellence through continuous improvement and builds an accident -free culture.
-Complete any training as required and directed by the management team by the required timeline.
-Where your role requires you to communicate with the client or customer, do so in a professional manner that underpins a positive impression of Mitie.

-Provide support to specialist sub-contractors/service providers and to provide support with minor new works as necessary and relevant to your role
-To operate within Mitie's LiveSafe policies and procedures
