The Finance Business Partner Shrink & Store Expenses leads the overall financial strategy across c.E400m shrink and E800m store expenses costs.

This includes leading the financial investment and strategy for these costs areas including supporting evaluation of new initiatives to drive future decision making and identifying opportunities across these cost areas.

You will be responsible for

  • Financial evaluation and insight on transformation and change programmes across stores relating to c.E400m shrink and c.E800m store expenses costs
  • Development of future opportunities and Save to Invest programmes in the longer term understanding the different dynamics across these cost areas
  • Ensure robust tracking and measurement of Save to Invest opportunities in line with group principles, including approval of submissions
  • Development of business cases ensuring robust financial evaluations and performance measures / KPls are clearly defined and laid out
  • Work with wider teams such as insight teams to evaluate macro-economic impacts to these costs areas and build driver based models to understand the financial impacts
  • Co-ordinate with both procurement and treasury teams to ensure future market and regulatory changes are overlaid into financial plans
  • Ensure initiatives driven by other business areas are validated and overlaid into financial plans where appropriate
  • Lead the long-term plan and strategy for these cost areas including Save to invest plans, market / economic changes, and impacts from upcoming regulations

You will need

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Investment appraisal & statistical analysis
  • Effective financial analysis skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Strategy development including presentational skills to senior audiences - The ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner suitable for a senior audience
  • The drive, motivation and organisational skills to ensure self and team succeed in an environment of changing priorities and challenging deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships quickly with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent organisation skills and multitasking abilities
