Summary

Join us as a Pricing Lead

  • You’ll lead the pricing strategy for NatWest’s merchant acquiring and open banking businesses, Tyl by NatWest and Payit
  • We’ll look to you to maintain and grow profitability of the portfolio through the relevant pricing policy and actions, identifying pricing opportunities to optimise revenue and increase customer volumes
  • In collaboration with other heads of departments, you’ll lead pricing responses to cost change announcements, and carry out market benchmarking and research to make sure our pricing appeals to our target market
  • This is an influential role in which you’ll provide outstanding leadership and management to your team

What you'll do

As a Pricing Lead, you’ll maximise opportunities for profit by introducing a relevant pricing policy to manage, grow, and develop a centre of expertise for all pricing, profitability, and transaction cost matters. You’ll be providing pricing expertise to lead the creation of new product propositions and act as the key contact on pricing matters with senior stakeholders.

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

  • Owning all interchange and scheme fee cost monitoring and allocation
  • Providing direction to your team to maintain and develop pricing models for both merchant acquiring and open banking products
  • Owning the ongoing improvement to pricing functionality across technology platforms
  • Supporting product and marketing colleagues with commercial insight in relation to new products and promotions

The skills you'll need

In this role, your analytical skills will help you to stand out from the crowd. You’ll be a strong problem solver, which means you have no problem with complex data. If you also have experience in pricing and transaction cost management, that would be a major plus.

In addition to this, you’ll be expected to have:

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a good understanding of profit and loss
  • Experience working in a commercial function within the payments industry, ideally in pricing
  • Experience of supporting high quality, complex projects
  • A history of working effectively across business units and functions, while managing risks
  • A track record of team building and leadership
  • Great communication skills and the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
