Pocket Geek Tech Repair is looking for a Mobile Phone Repair Technician to join our team for their Dundee stores. The Technician will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mobile phone hardware, the ability to diagnose and repair complex issues, and experience working with various tools and equipment.

Job Responsibilities:
• Installs, tests, and maintains computer-related hardware.
• Diagnoses hardware-related faults for Mac & Windows laptops. Repairs or replaces defective components in Smartphones, iPad, Tablets. Diagnose liquid damaged devices like smartphones, tablets & advises on and installs operating soft/firm ware and may carry out upgrades.
• Diagnose and repair mobile phones, tablets, and other electronic devices.
• Utilize soldering skills to perform intricate soldering tasks and rework on electronic components.
• Be able to carry out common problems such as Backlight, Power, Sound and Charging Issues
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues, employing a systematic approach to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Accurately document repair activities, including test results, procedures, and any modifications made during the repair process.
• Adhere to industry standards, safety guidelines, and quality control procedures to ensure the highest level of workmanship
• Maintains documentation to track and log work in progress and completed.
Qualification Requirements
• At least 3-5 years of experience in an electronics or mobile phone repair industry.
• Diploma/Degree in Electronics or equivalent qualification
• Strong soldering skills, particularly in micro-soldering.
• Good customer service skills and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Computer proficiency, knowledge of computer applications, and basic computer skills are required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (Not Compulsory)

Job Types: Full-time- 40 Hrs. Per Week
Salary: £13.00 per Hour (Depends on Experience)
Work Permit Available for Experienced Candidate
