Crynodeb
Dounreay is working at the forefront of nuclear decommissioning, waste management and environmental restoration. The people we train today will have the opportunity to be involved in some of the most exciting technical projects in the world and to develop skills which will be increasingly needed both at Dounreay and in other areas of industry.
The scaffolding apprenticeship is a 2 year programme in conjunction with CITB. You will attend college in Glasgow on block release to enhance your training and learning. The programme leads to a SCQF5 Assessing Operations & Rigging (Scaffolding)
What do I do?
Working alongside our scaffolding team to provide safe access systems across the Dounreay site for project and maintenance activities.
The Training:
Over the 2 year period:
• Full time at Dounreay site
• On the job training within our estates team, assisting with providing access systems for various projects across the Dounreay site
• Inductions and block release every 6 months to college in Glasgow
• Outward bound course
