Job Overview
Here at PPL PRS we have an opportunity for a Live Music Advisor to join the team. The role will manage a portfolio of Live Music customers and licensing their events using the appropriate tariffs. The role will develop and maintain excellent business relationships with Live Music customers through regular contact by phone, email and face to face.

Start date: 3rd February 2025
Training: All roles will begin with 3 weeks of classroom based training from 9am to 5pm at our offices in central Leicester
Following completion of training this will move to a hybrid working pattern working 3 days a week from our modern office space and 2 days a week working from home.
Working pattern: rotational shift pattern Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.

Key responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of Live customer accounts.
- Maintain an excellent and professional relationship with each, through regular phone contact, email and conducting face to face visits where required.
- Monitor customers Live music declarations and ensure all music usage is invoiced in line with our review requirements.
- Ensure that your portfolio of customers is reviewed in line with our department contact process.
- Educate and advise customers, positively reinforcing the benefits of Live music.
- Identify growth opportunities through extensive research and frequent customer contact.
Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of the Live Music industry to assist with growth in your accounts to meet revenue targets.
- Develop and build knowledge of core licence procedures, including copyright law, tariffs, and direct licensing.
- Work closely and collaboratively with PRS for Music and PPL corporate partnership teams to ensure that any membership queries are dealt with as per agreed SLA’s.
- Work alongside the collections and enforcement team to ensure your accounts are fully up to date, obtaining payments for any outstanding balances.

Skills and Qualifications required
- Previous experience, within a customer focused environment
- Excellent communication skills by phone, letter, face to face or email
- Building and maintain effective customer relationships
- Competent using Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience of working with both internal and external customers to achieve goals
- Knowledge of licensing, tariffs, policies, distribution, and procedures is desired though not essential
- Commercially aware and self-motivated with a desire to achieve results
- Ability to work on own initiative within a team
- Proactive, seeks new opportunities and embraces change
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst making judgement-based decisions
- Well organised with attention to detail
