Salary: £35,000 per year
Search Consultancy are working with a client who is looking to hire an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join their growing team in York. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead and improve the accounts payable function within a dynamic business.
Job Description:
As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all financial processes. You will lead a team, driving improvements, managing supplier relationships, and supporting the overall success of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team in the Purchase Ledger function, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Oversee the processing of supplier invoices, maintaining strong supplier relationships and resolving escalated queries.
- Ensure timely reconciliations.
- Drive process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide regular reports on financial metrics and team performance.
Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of management experience in accounts payable.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Proactive mindset focused on process improvement.
- A-Level/BTEC Level 3, with additional finance qualifications preferred.
