Salary: Starting Salary is £35,235 (Level one) rising to £37,938 (level four) per annum (pro rata for part-time)

About the Role

The Martin Jackaman Centre specialises in providing Day support for citizens with physical, sensory, and learning disabilities, helping them lead healthy, active, and independent lives.

Our centre offers an active and sociable environment, providing Citizens with opportunities to develop friendships alongside a wide range of activities designed to promote confidence, independence, self-worth, and an understanding of health and wellbeing issues.

You will be part of the Management Team, responsible for the efficient running of the Centre. You will manage and supervise Care Workers to ensure the delivery of safe, appropriate and high quality personalised care and support for our citizens. You will ensure this is in a way that respects their dignity and enables them to maintain or regain maximum independence and fulfilment in all aspects of daily living.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • The ability to supervise, manage, monitor and directly observe the practice of Care Workers
  • Responsibility for ensuring that each citizen has an up to date care plan, which is reviewed regularly and that their needs are met in line with all relevant codes of practice
  • Overall responsibility for the coordination of staff, ensuring there are sufficient numbers of suitable staff to cover duty rotas
  • Previous experience working in a social care setting, ideally supporting Citizens with Learning Disabilities and/or experience supporting Citizens who exhibit behaviours that challenge

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
