Summary

Sutcom Limited are one of the UK’s largest and most well-known HVAC commissioning companies, also specialising in pre-commissioning cleaning of pipework services, water & ventilation hygiene activities.

The role would be primarily construction site based, CSCS card required prior to any site attendance. Assisting trained HVAC commissioning engineers in balancing air and water systems on new constructions, refurbishments and live buildings located nationwide.

• To become familiar with site safety and current Health & Safety at Work Regulations.
• To be familiar with your companies Health & Safety policy and be aware of the requirements of safety for yourself and others.
• To learn site discipline and procedures.
• To assist senior personnel in carrying out commissioning activities on site and generally to observe instructions given by an authorised person.
• To report to site control when arriving and leaving site and adhering to site specific arrangements.
• Undertake and comply with company’s training policy.
• To take part in the pre-commissioning activities and to become familiar with working drawings and job technical specifications.
• To learn about instruments utilised on site, how to look after them, which instruments are appropriate to various tasks and how to use and read them.
• To learn how to balance water and air flows whilst assisting more senior staff.
• To learn how to clean ventilation system components whilst assisting more senior staff.
• To learn how to clean and treat closed pipework water systems (chilled water & heating) whilst assisting more senior staff.
• To learn how to carry out disinfections of open pipework systems (potable/drinking water) whilst assisting more senior staff.
