Locations: Bristol, Swindon, Birmingham, London, and Essex areas
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (dependent on experience) + company car
Are you an experienced engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in the energy sector? We are seeking skilled Field Service Engineers to maintain, troubleshoot, and support cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance, capacity testing, and repairs on Energy Storage Systems.
Conduct software and firmware updates.
Monitor performance and analyze operational data.
Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting support.
Manage spare parts and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate records and administrative documentation.
Collaborate with engineering teams on product development and improvements.
What We're Looking For:
Qualification in electrical or electro-mechanical disciplines.
Experience in electrical or multi-skilled maintenance.
Basic IT proficiency (MS Office, IP/software troubleshooting).
Knowledge of site safety and risk assessment.
Willingness to travel, including overnight stays and occasional international trips.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Understanding of HV/LV power electronics, inverters, and transformers.
HVAC training or F-Gas qualification.
Networking and communication protocols knowledge (MODBUS/TCP, VLANs, etc.).
C&G2391-5 Test & Inspect or equivalent.
