Summary
A new opportunity for an Engineering Machinist to join a very successful aerospace company based in Thurmaston in their air frame department. This role working hours are on a double day shift and are as follows.
Week 1: Monday to Thursday: 5:30 am. to 14:00 pm. Friday: 5:30 am to 13:30 pm
Week 2: Monday to Thursday: 14:00pm to 10:30pm
The Employer
This company specialise in manufacturing nuts, bolts, and fasteners predominately for the aerospace industry. They are looking for Manual Machinist or individuals with a manufacturing or production mindset to join their expanding team due to their business rapidly growing.
The Job
- To operate and set engineering machinery such as thread rollers, broaching, turning machines.
- Help maintain and promote a safe working environment.
- Using measuring equipment i.e. verniers, calipers etc
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Working to small tolerances
- Working closely with the tool room
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience in a manufacturing, mechanical or production environment.
- Car mechanic background could be considered
- Working well as part of a team.
- Machining experience essential
- Proactive approach to work
- Working under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Candidates with engineering qualifications/apprenticeships will be considered
