We are seeking compassionate support workers to join our dynamic team in a supported living environment for people with diverse needs, including autism, mental health challenges, learning and physical disabilities, and behaviours that challenge. Our mission is to provide tailored support, foster independence, and enhance the quality of life for each person.
Our offer to you:
Location: Stalbridge
Hours: up to 37.5 hours per week
Pay Scale: £12.02 to £12.28
Contract: Permanent

About You:
An empathic and respectful approach to care.
Ability to manage behaviours that challenge and provide consistent support.
Experience in health-related support roles, especially with SALT assessments or PEG tube management, is advantageous.
Enthusiasm for creating fun and engaging environments for both group and individual activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist people with personal care, and medication management, including ordering and administering medications.
Support financial management in collaboration with appointees and family members.
Facilitate communication and activities with health professionals like GPs, OTs, and social workers.
Engage people we support in a wide range of activities such as arts and crafts, gardening, museum visits, and more.
Contribute to a warm and friendly environment in our communal areas, sharing jokes and stories over hot chocolate and cake.

Induction sessions occur every two weeks on Monday and Tuesday. As part of your employment with Encompass Care you are expected to attend both sessions. Flexibility is required as some training, such as manual handling, is only held on weekdays.
