STUDENT AND VISITOR SERVICES CENTRE
Term Time Only
1x Full time or 2 x part time hours considered
The Opportunity
We are looking to appoint a term time/full time 34 weeks@ 36.25hrs (or two term time/part time will be considered).
The postholder will join our busy Student Service Hub team based in Claus Moser Building on Keele Campus. The current service operating hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and 9am to 6.30pm on Tuesday and Thursday.* There may be some opportunity for hybrid working but the key focus of all team members is to deliver and in person service. This post holder must be able to commit to work to 6.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Student Services Hub opened in September 2024 and is becoming a ‘one stop shop’ for Keele students. They can access a wide range of support including financial guidance, careers guidance, disability and mental health support, help with immigration, Admissions and Student Records queries.
How the 34 weeks would be allocated. We would use the published term dates as the basis for the working weeks with the expectation of starting back at least 2 weeks before the start of Semester 1.
Whilst Keele University allocates school half terms as teaching weeks, we would be amenable to this post holder not working those weeks in October, February and May. The exact weeks for the following year would be set by mutual agreement before the postholder finishes for their summer break each year.
*The operating hours are under review and may be extended to 6.30pm Monday to Friday. This post(s) would include covering to 6.30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays initially but possibly every day depending on the conclusion of the review.
