Support for Learning Assistant

9.06 hours per week (working one week out of four)
Temporary up to 3 August 2025
£27,258 - £27,459 pro rata / £14.94 - £15.05 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)

Suitable candidates are sought for the above vacancy of Support for Learning Assistant in Stronsay Junior High School. As a member of the school team you will be expected to work with pupils, colleagues and parents.

We require candidates to have experience in working with young people and to be committed to supporting, encouraging and including all children in achieving their potential.

You should have a good general standard education, including evidence of competency in literacy and numeracy.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
