Crynodeb

Morson are recruiting on behalf or leading maritime and defence organisation based on Cowes, Isle of Wight. The client is seeking an experienceD stores/warehouse operative.

This is initially for 12 months although highly likely to be long-term. This position will be operating on day shift - Monday-Friday, half day finish friday. (Please enquire re working hours).

Pay rate :
£14.44 per hour PAYE plus £2.10 holiday pay per hour

Role Description

To operate and improve warehousing processes that deliver the agreed service levels in support of Customer Facing Business Unit (CFBU) programmes.
This role demands a high level of integrity, honesty, accuracy, and reliability.
Assisting in Goods Receipt, picking, kitting, and general stores duties to support expanding team and workload.

Core duties

• Participate in the update of the warehousing infrastructure and processes as required by the business.
• Operate warehousing processes to meet agreed service levels including receipt, put-away, kitting, unplanned picks, shelf life process and packing.
• Interface with other teams/organisations to provide a seamless service.
• Manage the picking of shelf life products.
• Be vigilant with regards to counterfeit goods, this could be packaging or physical product raising suspicion and therefore segregated for review thus preventing counterfeit goods entering the supply chain
• Comply export control guidelines for storing ITAR products
• Comply with guidelines for recording and moving secret items

Experience required

• Have significant experience in all general Warehousing duties, forklift driving desirable although license not essential
• Diligent and proactive when finding solutions to discrepancies when counting materials supporting the annual cycle count.
• Ability to work attentively and accurately.
