Mobile Pipefitter - North East of England - Regional HVAC Contractor: Commercial & Industrial
CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for experienced Pipefitters - responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining piping systems for various commercial projects, including schools, hospitals, office buildings, and retail spaces. You will work closely with a team of engineers, welders, and other skilled tradespeople to ensure that all installations meet safety and quality standards.
This is a mobile role, covering Tyne & Wear, County Durham & Teesside areas.
Package:
- Competitive salary between £38,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Van & fuel card supplied
- Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
- Participation in an ‘out of hours’ on call rota (to be confirmed)
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Generous workplace pension scheme
- Training, development & progression opportunities
Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems in commercial buildings
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to plan layout and installation
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles using appropriate tools and machines
- Test piping systems for leaks and durability
- Collaborate with other trades to ensure timely and efficient project completion
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues related to pipe systems
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Pipefitting or equivalent qualification (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter, preferably in the commercial sector
- CSCS card (preferred)
- A full UK driving licence
