We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong understanding of childcare practices. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with their daily activities, ensuring their well-being, and helping them achieve their personal goals. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with families and other professionals will be essential in this role.
Working patterns will be shifts, 2 on 4 off
Duties
Provide support to children in various settings, including home and community environments.
Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each child's needs.
Engage children in educational and recreational activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social development.
Maintain accurate records of progress and any incidents that occur during support sessions.
Communicate regularly with families to update them on their child's progress and address any concerns.
Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive support for each child.
Drive to various locations as required for home visits or community activities.
Requirements
Previous experience working with children is essential.
Knowledge of childcare practices and care planning is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, families, and colleagues.
Proficiency in IT skills for maintaining records and communicating via digital platforms.
A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations.
A compassionate approach towards supporting individuals with diverse needs is crucial.
