We have an exciting and rare opportunity to join our team as a Cyber Security Vulnerability & Threats Officer. Working within the Clyde Security Organisation this is a high-profile position responsible for supporting and implementing a range of initiatives which are focused on protecting our IT assets, information, and people within the establishment from a broad range of threats.

Working alongside a tight knit team of like-minded professionals you will assist with maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of IT assets and contributing to the implementation of mitigation plans against extant and emerging cyber security threats.

We are looking for someone that can support the positive inclusion of cyber security principles by building and maintaining relationships across departments, units, partner agencies and contractors. In addition, the post holder will work with a wide range of internal and external security and intelligence staff whilst providing guidance and advice on all Cyber Security matters at HMNB Clyde.

Responsibilities:

Lead a programme of IT system and asset compliance and assurance checks with a focus on ensuring the appropriate cyber security protections are in place.

Manage and collate system information in order to undertake data analysis for reporting & trend analysis, which support and advise senior partners.

Collate and analyse Cyber Threat Intelligence information and Defence reporting to support production and dissemination of local Cyber Threat awareness guidance and reports to a diverse population.

Support the implementation and planning of Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (TSCM) activities across HMNB Clyde.

Assist the Cyber Security Manager with reporting and investigating IT security incidents, infringements, and vulnerabilities to the relevant authorities ensuring that an auditable trail of security incidents exists.

Assess and issue Cyber Security controls in relation to Media Events; this will include liaison and engagement with partner agencies.
