The children, staff, parents, and Governors of Melbourne Junior School are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, and inspirational Headteacher, with a passion to make a difference and further build on the school’s many achievements.
We are proud to be a thriving, caring and inclusive school, in the heart of the wonderful community of Melbourne, in which our children happily embody our school motto of ’Only My Best Is Good Enough For Me’.
This vacancy has arisen due to the forthcoming retirement of our longstanding Headteacher, with a start date of September 2025.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
• A strong track record in management and leadership
• The energy and passion to drive forwards a clear vision to lead the school into its next chapter
• A commitment to excellence in teaching and learning
• High standards and expectations for children’s achievements and behaviours
• The ability to engage, inspire and support all staff and pupils in fulfilling their potential
• A desire to maintain the current inclusive and caring ethos of the school
