Fixed term - to end of July 2025 in first instanceSt John Fisher RC Primary School is seeking to recruit a Teaching and Learning Assistant and MDS who is passionate about children’s learning and emotional wellbeing, to work alongside our experienced staff team. The successful candidate will be required to support children with additional needs, in order to enable them to fully access the teaching and learning to reach their potential. At times, this will include working with groups of and individual children, both in and outside of the classroom, under the guidance of the class teacher and special educational needs coordinator.
The role includes Midday Supervisor duties ensuring that children have a safe and happy lunchtime.
Desirable:
• Enthusiasm and determination to make a difference to pupil progress
• Previous experience of working with children with SEN needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Enthusiastic about working with vulnerable children
• Passionate about meeting children’s learning needs
• Good English and Mathematics skills
• Good standard of spoken English
• A good communicator and team member who is caring, flexible and approachable
The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Inclusion Manager/Class Teacher/Senior Midday Supervisor to support groups and individual pupils.
