Do you have excellent communication skills along with visible, dynamic and inspirational leadership with the ability to enable the midwifery workforce to deliver safe and high quality standards of care?

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, inspirational midwife leader to join the midwifery team, the post holder will have credibility to work clinically alongside the frontline staff.

The successful applicants will join the experienced team of band 7's who along with the existing Ward Managers, Coordinators and Matron will provide support and mentoring to develop your skills into this leadership role.

Along with the multidisciplinary team you will be responsible for overseeing the safe delivery of service in the Maternity Assessment Unit at LRI ensuring the delivery of safe and high quality care. You will lead and champion the current triage system in MAU - BSOTS.

You will be expected to have some leadership experience and have some knowledge of HR guidelines and policies.

You will be required to contribute to the development of others, support the unit in times of high activity and have a passion for staff well being. You will need to show strong leadership both clinically and professionally and have a passion for patient experience.

You will be based primarily at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).

We have four primary goals:
• high-quality care for all,
• being a great place to work,
• partnerships for impact, and
• research and education excellence

And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.

Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:
• we are compassionate,
• we are proud,
• we are inclusive, and
• we are one team

This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
