Crynodeb
Working independently according to a plan agreed with a suitably qualified clinician and within the overall framework of the service policies and procedures. Supporting the wider multi-disciplinary team with the coordination, administration, implementation and delivery of NDD assessments. The gathering of clinically relevant background information to support the delivery of NDD assessments for children and young people. To support in the preparation and facilitation of post-diagnostic support, such as the ATLAS programme, and other forms of post-diagnostic support. To co-facilitate groups with suitably qualified clinical staff from across the MDT. To attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings and to offer wider support to the multi-disciplinary team. Teaching, training, and supervision To receive regular clinical professional supervision from a suitably qualified clinician. To attend relevant training sessions to develop knowledge in this area. To attend regular team meetings and develop knowledge in this area. To support with the development and facilitation of assessment materials and resources. To develop skills and competencies that assist in the delivery of current duties. Research and service evaluation To contribute to the development, evaluation and monitoring of the MOSAIC service through research, service evaluation and audit. To undertake searches of evidence-based literature and research using the internet and online databases. To undertake clinically related administration and project work. To undertake production and delivery of questionnaires, data collection, setting up of databases and spreadsheets, data analysis, and the production of reports and presentation of summaries to colleagues using IT and statistical programmes, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and SPSS. General To maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping, including electronic data entry and recording, and contributing to multidisciplinary diagnostic reports. To maintain up to date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies and issues in relation to both the specific patient group and related areas. To ensure that all aspects of professional activity (e.g. communication with patients, relatives, colleagues as well as in the assessment, development/delivery of interventions) issues of diversity such as race, culture, identity, gender and sexuality are sensitively considered and incorporated to reflect individual differences appropriately. To work flexibly and respond to service needs accordingly e.g. with regard to cover arrangements.
