The Best Connection, are recruiting for our client, who is looking for dedicated individuals to join their team in Rochester as Factory Operatives in the Fettling Department.
There is a choice between two shifts:
**First shift: Full-Time (46 hours per week)**
**Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday, 18:00-06:00
**Salary: £13.32
**2nd shift: Full time (40 hrs per week).
**Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 06:00-14:00.
**Salary: £11.59 per hour.
**Position Overview:**
As a Factory Operative, you will play a pivotal role in the Fettling Department. You'll be responsible for processing castings, which includes fettling, linishing, shot-blasting, etching, and band saw operation. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and precision.
**Key Responsibilities:** Band saw operation Processing of parts in accordance with the relevant Technique card and Works Instruction. Manual Handling Moving boxes of castings around the factory The post holder may also be required to undertake the following tasks on occasion: Shot blasting of castings using alumnia grit Data Recording Carrying out touch screen bookings using the bespoke Aventa touch screen system Completing job cards; logging work carried out **Health and Safety:** Ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Possess knowledge of chemicals used, following the department's COSHH assessment and Material Safety Data Sheets. Maintain a clear understanding and awareness of relevant Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work. Health and Safety Correct use of PPE at all times Knowledge of chemicals used as stipulated in the departments COSHH assessment and Material Safety Data Sheets Clear understanding and awareness of the relevant Risk Assessments Other Maintaining and cleaning of shot blast extraction and cabinets when necessary Maintaining the tidiness and cleanliness of the department in accordance with Aeromets house keeping procedures including 5S
