Summary

The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an officer to join our professional, people centered and caring service working within Keele University’s Estates and Campus Services Directorate.

The Campus Safety Team, often referred to as the fourth emergency service, is often the first point of contact for issues that may necessitate a Police, Ambulance or Fire service response on campus. This is a varied and challenging role that will necessitate strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

The hours of work are based on 12-hour shifts, on a 4 on 4 off basis, working alternate periods of x4 days, x4 rest days, x4 nights and x4 rest days in rotation. Working hours will normally be based on 6am-6pm days, and 6pm-6am nights.  Site specific training and uniform will be provided.  

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have a proven track record in providing good levels of customer service and responding positively towards working with young people within an inclusive, respectful, and professional environment.
