Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, ensuring that all desktop systems and applications operate efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of networking protocols and software troubleshooting, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively assist users with their technical issues.

Responsibilities

Provide first-line support for desktop hardware and software issues, including Windows operating systems and applications.
Provide first/second level contact and problem resolution for customer issues.
Work with vendors to remediate complex AV issues as needed
Provide timely communication on issue status and resolution
Maintain ticket updates for all reported incidents; Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2010, Cisco Jabber, another authorized desktop application
Should have basic knowledge of Mac operating system, to support Apple pc users; Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot for printers, computer hardware
Performs general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers; Performs remedial repairs on Desktops, laptops, printers and any other authorized peripheral equipment
Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity, and workstation hardware/software
Assist users in diagnosing software problems and provide solutions in a timely manner.
Install, configure, and upgrade desktop hardware and software as needed.
Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless operation of Windows Server environments.
Communicate effectively with users to understand their technical challenges and provide clear guidance on resolutions.
