Professional Development Administrator (Students)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and innovative individual, with a passion for supporting Clinical Students, to join the Professional Development team in a full-time substantive post. This post will be the administer supporting the clinical student workstream within the department.

The role will involve ensuring that the administrative processes required to support the clinical student workstream are developed and maintained with the support of the professional development administrative coordinator.

You would work with direction given by the professional development managers for pre and post registration nurses, AHP's and apprenticeships and will be responsible for the maintenance of the relevant databases.




Main duties of the job

You will:
• Collect and process the monthly student activity data to produce accurate student activity reports on a monthly/quarterly basis for theProfessional Development Managers.
• Collate the pre-registration Higher Education Institution allocation reports and enter into the relevant allocations database under the guidance of the Professional Development Managers, Clinical Development Facilitators.
• Collate amendments to the pre-registration allocation reports and liaise with the Professional Development Managers and Clinical Development Facilitators.
• Monitor and maintain the Clinical Students Allocations inbox on a daily basis.
• Provide appropriate administrative support in relation to organisation of induction sessions for clinical students.
• Provide administrative support for Clinical Student Forums on a monthly basis.
• Make and receive telephone calls, taking messages, dealing with enquiries and directing calls as appropriate.

Qualifications and Training

Essential Criteria:
• NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent
• English and Maths GCSE Level C or equivalent
• Evidence of continuing professional development

Experience

Essential Criteria:
• Experience of administration relating to students/learners.
• Experience of communication with healthcare professionals
• Handling sensitive and complex information
• Excellent presentation and communication skills

Skills & Knowledge

Essential Criteria:
• High degree of IT literacy to include word processing / Excel and software packages
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Good communicator who presents and interacts well with staff at all levels
• Ability to motivate self
