About the role
As a Client Operations Officer you will be responsible for procuring, arranging transport for children and young adults in a timely and cost effective manner, keeping a focus on meeting tight service levels as well as ensuring value for money. You will also manage issues that arise with travel provision arrangements and resolve to a successful conclusion.

You will be trained to a high standard to source and deliver the most appropriate transport for the individuals’ needs, involving procurement and contract management activity. You will work closely with colleagues across the Council, partner organisations and transport operators across the county. Each day will be varied but the goal will always be the same, to deliver passenger transport to those that need it most.

This role will allow hybrid working, based from our offices in Lincoln, with occasional offsite visits to education settings and operators. Working hours of 37 hrs per week, Monday to Friday (between the office hours of 07.30 – 17.30) The departments full service hours are Monday to Friday 06.30 – 19.00 and Saturday 07.30 – 18.00.

Transport Services is part of the Council’s Place Directorate and is responsible for developing and delivering passenger transport solutions across Lincolnshire for more than 20,000 passengers daily.

We enable passengers to travel to and from school and other places of education, for social care reasons and we provide a demand responsive CallConnect bus service to connect communities across the county.

The team also manages the county’s local bus and community transport network, alongside supporting the development of Sustainable Travel.
