Crynodeb

This post is a senior fellowship for anesthetists with at least five years of anaesthetic training. This constitutes part of an additional tier of senior clinical fellows being recruited to manage the increase in acuity and out of hours work based at the Royal London Hospital.

The majority of the post-holder’s daytime work will be in Trauma Anaesthesia and associated specialties, with dedicated time allocated to projects (teaching, academic, quality improvement, governance) to support the service and the fellow’s own personal career development. In addition, the successful candidate will have a dedicated educational
supervisor to support their career goals.

Out of hours work represents the service provision component of this post and is focused on supporting the increasing numbers and complexity of cases on labour ward and the increase in Mechanical Thrombectomy provision at RLH. The on calls will reflect this service need and be split between a second on call for labour ward and/ or providing cover for the
mechanical thrombectomy service.
