We are seeking an energetic and valued contributor to manage and develop our operational teams in Scotland! Mitie Landscapes has a new opportunity for a Head of Operations to join our team at the UKs leading FM company. With overall management of the operating regions in respect of the Landscape business, including Grounds maintenance, Winter services and variable works.
Agile, flexible working is critical to the continuing success of the Landscapes business, the ability to embed performance excellence through an operating model which supports operational seasonal peaks and out of hours customer support is critical.
Reporting to the UK Director you will lead your business unit, ensuring that it delivers the exceptional every day.
You will be responsible for.
-Constantly striving to improve efficiency and utilisation of resources and equipment.
-Working to ensure delivery of the business plan, maximising operational and financial performance to ensure budgets are achieved/exceeded.
-Develop with the operational teams a robust business strategy, which improves operational delivery and contributes to profitable growth going forward.
-Maintain, develop and enhance current and new customer relationships, in liaison with the national accounts/ Key accounts and our sales teams.
-Introduce innovative work practices to improve efficiency and service levels.
-Ensure the highest level of commitment, awareness and results on QHSE issues.
-Ensure the highest level of commitment to people management and development.
-You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent customer service.
What we are looking for
-Senior operational management experience is required.
-A high level of experience in commercial operations, budgeting & forecasting, QHSE, people management and customer relationship management.
-An excellent understanding of operational IT systems.
-An ability to travel extensively across (the region) and occasional to other locations across the UK to support the needs of the business.
