Grade 4, Scale Points 7 - 12 (£25,584 to £27,711) pro rata
Actual Salary £20,222 - £21,903 assuming no previous service
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen in our Library. We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Library Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. Our school has a strong and vibrant reading culture. You will be responsible for providing a stimulating and friendly atmosphere to encourage a love of reading and literacy.
This post will be ideal for an individual with strong organisational skills, a passion for student support and a commitment to promoting a culture of reading for pleasure. You will have a visible presence within the school and will build strong relationships with students, staff and the wider community.
The role offers a varied and fulfilling day including managing and developing our school library alongside promoting the library and its resources to students, staff and parents.
You will work closely with the Literacy Team in co-ordinating and carrying out one-to-one and small group reading interventions as well as delivering timetabled library lessons, for which all training will be provided.
This role offers a chance to work in a supportive and dynamic school environment.
