The Cathedral School, Cardiff's leading independent school for girls and boys, is seeking to appoint an efficient and motivated Events Assistant to join the team from 3rd March 2025. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Communications and Admissions offices to plan and deliver a programme of school, admissions and alumni events. This will include assisting with logistics, promoting events, liaising with suppliers, managing communication and helping to ensure the smooth running of all aspects. Recent experience of event planning or co-ordination and relationship development is essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be highly organised, detail-orientated and capable of managing multiple tasks in a busy environment. The post is part time; with normal hours of work 9.00am until 2.30pm, Monday to Friday during term time, plus five additional days per year during the school holidays to prepare for each term ahead, The salary for this role is £13,610 per annum, based on 27.5 hours per week, 36 weeks per year. You will be entitled to 30 days’ paid holiday per year (pro rata), to be taken during the school holidays, plus 8 bank holidays.Please see the candidate pack for further information about the role.Standards at the school, academic and behavioural are very high and there is a strong Christian ethos.
