An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Assistant within the University’s Directorate of Finance. The successful candidate will join the busy Accounts Payable team supporting the University’s daily business activities by ensuring the prompt and accurate processing of supplier invoices and other payment requests, the review and approval expense claims, and respond to queries from suppliers, staff and students in an efficient and courteous manner.

Experience of supplier invoice processing, supplier account reconciliation and communication with suppliers within a busy Accounts Payable environment is essential. The individual will be required to liaise with suppliers and staff throughout the University so must have excellent communication skills and should have the ability to use their initiative and work effectively as part of a team.

The post is for a period of 6 months and salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 3, £24,606 - £26,038 pro rata per annum with placement according to qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be required to attend the office a minimum of 2 days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday).
