Crynodeb

We are looking for an ambitious, experienced Senior Learning Innovation Technologist to transform digital learning at Keele University. You will be a core member of the senior team within the Keele Institute of Innovation and Teaching Excellence (KIITE) helping shape the student learning experience through leading on the adoption and implementation of technology-enhanced learning across curriculum.

KIITE (Keele Institute for Innovation and Teaching Excellence) is responsible for supporting educational delivery and evaluation through core functions of curriculum and learning design, learning technology and academic development.

You will lead a small team of learning innovation technologists, drawing on your extensive knowledge and experience of learning innovation and VLEs (Virtual Learning Environments) to provide mentorship and constructive feedback to the team. You will oversee project planning and resource allocation across the learning innovation technology team, manage performance and generate opportunities for staff development.

This is an important role helping to define digital tools and technologies to support blended/hybrid learning design. You will lead on the evaluation of digital learning technologies and will work with KIITE and academic colleagues to make recommendations that will improve the student learning experience.

As well as leading university wide strategic projects, including review of our VLE and development of policy and practice in relation to learning innovation technology, the post-holder will also be responsible for leading the development of a learning innovation and technology roadmap to support learning experience design across different modalities.

You will be educated to degree level and have strong leadership, project management and collaboration skills, and a passion for supporting technological innovation in teaching, learning and assessment.
