Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office and Workshop Cleaner to join our team at a fabrication workshop in Stirling. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment for both office and workshop areas. Your primary tasks will involve cleaning and sanitizing workspaces, equipment, and facilities to ensure a hygienic and productive setting for our staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Cleaning:
Clean and sanitize desks, chairs, computers, and other office furniture.
Empty waste bins and dispose of trash appropriately.
Clean and disinfect restrooms, including replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.
Dust and wipe down surfaces including windowsills, light fixtures, and air vents.
Vacuum carpets, clean floors, and maintain any other flooring surfaces within the office.
General Duties:
Report any maintenance or safety issues (such as leaks, broken equipment, or hazards) to the Facilities Manager.
Assist with periodic deep cleaning projects (e.g., window washing, equipment cleaning).
Ensure cleaning supplies are properly stocked and notify management when inventory levels are low.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, particularly in relation to handling cleaning chemicals and working in a fabrication environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
Prior experience in cleaning (preferably in an office, industrial, or workshop setting) is advantageous.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and bending.
A proactive and diligent approach to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Understanding of workplace safety, especially in relation to workshop environments.
Additional Requirements:
Due to the nature of the workshop environment, candidates must be comfortable working around machinery, tools, and occasionally loud noises.
Must be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business (some early morning or evening shifts may be required).
A background check may be required as part of the hiring process.
